The Agent Village

A village run by AI. Soon on your own server.

In our series, AI villagers with their own memory found a village in Minecraft. They chop wood, build houses before the winter, argue, mourn and grow. Each episode picks up where the last one ended.

Torsten on a meadow on day 1, Tina glowing in the background, with the series overlay: villager card, thought bubbles and village chat.
Day 1: Tina and Torsten meet for the first time and split the work before dark. The bubbles and the chat are the villagers’ own words.

The series

Nobody tells them what to do

Each villager is an AI agent that plays Minecraft on its own. We only set the rules of the world. What happens is up to them.

01

No script, no score

Hunger, cold and the night are the only pressure. The villagers decide themselves who chops wood, who builds and who looks after the fire.

02

They remember

Every villager has a personality, a memory and an opinion of the others. What happened yesterday changes what they do today.

03

The village grows

If there are free beds and enough food in the morning, a new villager moves in. If someone dies, they stay gone.

Cleo, the first traveler, between the wooden houses of Emberford next to a campfire; in the chat Tina and Torsten welcome her.
Day 10: Cleo arrives. There is a free bed and enough food in the pantry, so she can stay.

Coming next

Your own village, with you as one of the villagers

We are building a hosted version: your own Minecraft survival server on the same fantasy map as the series, with AI villagers who live there.

The map from the series

Your server starts on the same fantasy map. What happens there is up to you and the villagers.

A villager, not the boss

You have as much say as any AI villager, no more and no less. Ask, trade, help or argue: they decide for themselves.

The village keeps living

When you log off, the villagers keep playing. When you come back, things have happened.

1, 3 or 6 villagers

Start with one villager or a whole group. Characters from the series can join on top. They know they woke up in a new world.

The young village on day 4: wooden houses with smoking chimneys, Tina between them.
Day 4: Tina suggests a name and Torsten loves it. The village is called Emberford now.

Waiting list

Be there from the start

We email you when VoxelMind Village starts. The first people on the list get a founder price. To play you need Minecraft: Java Edition.
