No Mod Needed: Your Companion Now Lives in Its Own World

Until now you needed the mod. Now you can just join a server and your companion is there, in a world that's only yours, waiting.

Vision, part four. Last time I said VoxelMind is the companion in your world, and nothing else. This is the first piece of "your world" turning into something I can hand you directly.

The wall was always the mod

For most of VoxelMind's life, meeting your companion meant a small ritual: install Fabric, find the mod on CurseForge, match the version, launch, log in. For the people who did it, it worked. But every one of those steps is a place to give up, and plenty of people did. The mod was never the product. It was the doorway, and the doorway was narrow.

Now you just join

You can now run your companion in a hosted world of your own, on our server, with no mod at all. Set your Minecraft name on your account page, press start, and join:

play.voxel-mind.com

That's it. A world opens that belongs to you and no one else, and your companion is in it. Java or Bedrock, any recent version, nothing to install.

Why this is bigger than it sounds

It changes who VoxelMind is for. Not "Minecraft players who install mods" anymore. Just "Minecraft players." Copy an address, paste it, play. The thing that made a companion feel out of reach for most people is simply gone, and the two ways to play now sit side by side: keep using the mod in your own world, or let your companion live in a world we host for you.

What's honestly true today, and what's next

I'd rather undersell this than oversell it, so here's the honest line. Today your companion lives in that hosted world and is there when you come back to it. What it does not yet do is quietly get things done while you're gone in a way that's actually worth coming home to. That part, coming back genuinely curious about what your companion got up to overnight, is the next thing I'm building, and it's the one I'm most excited about.

So this is a first step, published the day it shipped, with the honest edges left on. The doorway is open now. Come see your world.
